Wedding Custom in Poland

A classic Polish bride used to be a three or perhaps four time affair. Frequently, it was held outside in gardens, forests and buildings. They were a celebration of life and the bounty of dynamics. Today, however, many couples choose to forgo the temple and basically have a ceremony in their residence or yard with close family and friends. They also enjoy the fantastic foods, songs and liquor but it’s not quite what it once was.

On the evening of the ceremony, just before midnight ( or around it if a one- moment ceremony), comes the common service known as “oczepiny”, the opening of the bride.
